On May 27th, Prem Rawat returned to the CCIB in Barcelona, Spain to speak about life — what it means, and how to recognize that meaning. His talk lasted a little over an hour.
Here are some excerpts from his talk:
You, being alive. What does it mean, really? Should there be a question like that? 'What does it mean?' It should be obvious, to every single living person, what it means to be alive. But, what do we get caught in? Everything else but what we should be caught in. We’re interested in everything else.
Should any one of us be complaining? Should any one of us be feeling like, 'Oh my God, my little poor life?' Why do we not feel that peace? Why do we not feel that hope in our lives? Why do we not feel that joy in our lives? Because we do not know ourselves. We do not appreciate. No, we don’t. I’m sorry. There are some of you here who are very well-learned, very well-educated. But you haven’t learned how to appreciate yourself.
Bringing peace to earth is not difficult. What is difficult is for people to recognize who they are. Because once they did, peace would be automatic. Believe me, it would not be an issue. The issue is to know.
