Flying by helicopter above the skyline of São Paulo — his aircraft stark against the pinkish haze of the smog — Maharaji slowly approached the rooftop of a skyscraper located in the heart of Brazil's largest city. He had come to speak to 900 people already familiar with his teachings, the second time he has visited Brazil in the past eight months.

Here are some excerpts from his talk:

Add simplicity to love and that love becomes pure. It’s not complicated. It’s not built on: you do this, and I will do this. Love. Simplicity. And all of a sudden, you have something you can feel. You have something you can enjoy. You have something that touches your heart.

What is the first thought that comes into your mind in the morning? Is it something to do with your responsibilities? Or is it something to do with your contentment? It’s a good question. Responsibilities? Or contentment? As a human being, you still have that part in you that wants contentment. And if your first thought is about your responsibilities, then you are empty-handed. And you will go empty-handed. Why? Because the responsibilities will never end.

If your objective — if your aim — is for contentment, then you will be fulfilled. Then your life will be different. Then you will have that happiness — not the bewilderment. Not the tug of war, not the fight. Not the absence, but the presence.

I just watched the lifestream and here is what touched my heart: “Knowledge” takes my senses and changes it, owns it, sharpens it to feel the blessings. Me being alive. .../... Isn’t feeling gratitude different? Different than watching a good movie, different than meeting with an old friend, different than falling in love; so different than all those things, because when you are in gratitude it is falling in love with that Divine.

Thank you WOPG for keeping me in touch with Maharaji's Message. Responsibility or Contentment as Maharaji gave me a choice. Now it's my responsibility to choose the best in my life.
