Flanked by the soaring peaks of the Andes, Santiago remains one of the most bustling cosmopolitan cities in Latin America. On Sunday, May 1, 2011, Maharaji arrived in this busy capital to speak to over two thousand people about a responsibility that's separate from the responsibilities of modern life: to know one's self.

Here are some excerpts from his talk:

A wedding takes place when a human being is born. And the wedding is a special wedding. The infinite and the finite come together. Finite stays finite, infinite stays infinite, but for the period of this wedding — of this dance, of this show, of this beautiful thing that happens — can you imagine what has happened? Can you understand what has happened? In this finite, the infinite has come in — not for very long, mind you.

When you feel joy you light up. You don't have to be reminded to smile. It comes automatically. You become content. You become you. You become rich. You become kind. You become conscious. You become real. You become a human being.

Maybe you have never been invited to your own wedding. In a way that's what I do. If you want, I can make sure you get to attend your own wedding. Because you should. You should. This is it. It's the chance of a lifetime.

i kristendomen, i tron på Jesus Kristus kan man uppleva frid en djup och varaktig. I evangelierna står om hunger och törst, "Ni skall få nog och övernog och skall aldrig hungra och törsta mera" Det stämmer. Sökte överallt i många år men inte längre se´n jag fann källan "här en källa rinner, djup och klar, dold men uppenbar". Det måste vara den som Majahati talar om.

What a wedding! The marriage of the finite and the infinite! Thank you, Prem Rawat, for making it possible that I may attend this most magnificent union! I know it takes two to tangle; I won't be shy, I'll admit that I wanted to get married in this magnificent wedding, though it may have taken me long to realize it. To fall in love with this groom! This infinite immortality! And to feel the love that comes from this beautiful marriage blisses me out for thousands of years; just one instant of this love and I'm in-love! I guess, since birth I forgot about this marriage...thank you Prem Rawat for bringing me back home to the most incredible marriage of all! I guess when you get married, you need to have a place to live: a home. You know they say home is where your heart is. Thank you for inviting me to my real home and marriage, where my heart can can truly dance in real joy and keep the company of this "infinite" groom!: my true Love. Thank you, thank you, thank you, you little match-maker, you!

Many thanks for this insight into a very special moment with Maharaji. I too have been touched by his inspiration and I have great joy in my life since recognising what he is telling each and every one of us. I have gratitude every day so much I could cry with excitement of the joy I feel, just to be alive. Every breath is a gift thanks for reminding me of this once again.
