After addressing tens of thousands in India, Maharaji stopped over in Hawaii to speak to just 100 people on his way back to the United States.

The unexpected event at the Hapuna Beach Prince Resort on Hawaii's Big Island followed a six week tour in Southern Asia, drawing people from all over the Hawaiian islands.

Maharaji was given a truly Hawaiian welcome.

"Ha," one woman told Maharaji, "means breath." And "Alo" means presence. Aloha, the breath of life. A pretty good greeting, and it happens to be Hawaii's most famous word.
