On Sunday, September 12, a light autumn day in Florianópolis, Brazil, Prem Rawat spoke to a hall full of guests and people interested in his message. The talk was his second in this island city.

Here are some excerpts from his talk:

Have you been searching? Have you been searching for peace, for true love, for divinity? Have you been searching for God, for happiness? If you have been searching you have been wasting your time. The thing you are looking for is inside you, so why look for it outside?

When the holiest of holy is within you, you are blessed — yet you don’t know it. Something is wrong. And the only way to fix it is to know. When the most beautiful thinks they are ugly, then there is only one thing to be done: place a mirror in front of them and let them see for themselves how beautiful they are. That’s it. That’s all I need to offer. I don’t need to change your lifestyle.

I am not talking about making you dependent on something. I am talking about making you independent. I am saying you do not need the crutches and the canes of this world. Stand on your feet because there is nothing wrong with your feet. Stand. That’s the miracle.
