Words of Peace Annual Report 2023

Thanks to thousands of generous donors, Words of Peace promotes Prem Rawat’s message of self-knowledge and personal peace around the world by supporting his live events and other speaking engagements.

Events mentioned below represent those sponsored by the Words of Peace Global Event Fund. They do not cover the total number of activities (77) attended by Prem Rawat in 2023.

In February of 2023, no one could have imagined that the year would turn out to be so amazing.

After a Knowledge Review and a few events in North America, Prem flew to India for a series of events there. On April 2nd in Lucknow, he spoke to an audience of 114,704 attendees and read from the Hindi translation of his latest book, Hear Yourself. This brought him the distinction of receiving the year’s first Guinness World Records Award for “The largest audience at a book reading for a single author.”

Stopping in Mauritius for another Knowledge Review, he then continued on to Africa for an intensive month of events and interviews in South Africa, and also visited Namibia for the first time, ending the tour with a long-awaited event in Côte d’Ivoire. You can view our short videos of the very special African events’ and interviews’ background stories here.

Extensive tours of Europe and North America followed, with special attention given to places he hadn’t visited for many years, like Copenhagen, Denmark. Prem also started implementing a brand new event concept by conducting Understanding More™ whole-day focus sessions. He ended up having 8 of them in front of enthusiastic audiences on both continents, with each presentation going deeper into the themes addressed. Watch our collection of short clips from these focus sessions here.

Next, he held an Understanding More™ focus session in Australia and then visited Japan, followed by a first-ever visit to Dubai, UAE. Coinciding with the book launch of the Arabic version of Hear Yourself, this visit included an opportunity to present his Peace Education Programto educators from across the world, at the Global Education Supplies and Solutions Conference (GESS). Back in India, Prem spoke at more events and conducted Indian versions, called “Jigyasa,” of the Understanding More™ focus sessions. On November 26th, he spoke to a record audience of 375,603 attendees at an event in Gaia, which entitled him to his second Guinness World Records Award of the year, for “the largest attendance at a lecture.” Click here to watch a video of the impressive arrangements for this event, all of which were sponsored by Words of Peace donors!

2023 was wrapped up by a very festive few days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prem was invited as a guest of honor to the World Brands Foundation’s award ceremony where he was keynote speaker. He was given two further world record awards, for the most peace lectures in a lifetime and for the Peace Education Program’s dissemination to 900 correctional facilities worldwide. Read more about these awards on TPRF.org.

In the closing event of the year in Kuala Lumpur attendees gathered from the entire North Pacific region, and from as far as Europe and North America – a suitable way to end this truly breathtaking year!
