Words of Peace Annual Report 2022
2022 turned out to be a very busy and successful year, with Global Peace Ambassador, New York Times Bestseller Author and Renowned Speaker Prem Rawat flying several times around the globe, to speak to ever-growing audiences interested in his message of peace.
Not only was it possible to have more events, as Covid-19 restrictions were slowly lifted, but a new way of recording his events made it also possible for anyone to listen to his speeches very soon after they had been held, regardless of whether they were able to travel to the different locations.
On May 8th in Johannesburg, South Africa, a group of 59 people met with Prem and were taught the techniques of Self-Knowledge – simple ways to access the inner peace within themselves. This same Knowledge Session was simultaneously streamed to two other locations in Cape Town and Durban, serving as a refresher (or Knowledge Review) for 494 people having previously received the techniques of Knowledge in South Africa. Up to 7,205 people from 70 countries around the globe were able to watch livestreamed broadcasts of the opening and closing sessions of this event.
With the success of this new approach, another Knowledge Session was arranged on July 2nd in Berlin, Germany and 2 weeks later in Milan, Italy, a Knowledge Review was held with an in-person audience of 526 people and another 1,921 people attending virtually from 18 cities throughout Europe, India, and Africa. Up to 11,107 people from around the world joined the opening portion of the Milan Knowledge Review online.
A Knowledge Session was further arranged on October 8th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The last two Knowledge Reviews for 2022 took place in Putrajaya, Malaysia on October 10th and in Tokyo, Japan on October 29th.
There were also several regular events, starting with one for guests from South Africa on May 7th in Johannesburg, after which there were two events for Europeans, the first in London on May 28th and another one in Barcelona on July 9th.
Following the London event, Prem Rawat visited Glastonbury, England on June 17th, where he was honored by the Mayor and Council of Glastonbury with the very first Key of Avalon for his years of working for peace as well as for his services to humanity. Prem had first spoken at the Glastonbury Festival 51 years earlier in 1971, as a 13-year-old boy.
A five-day event called “Focus 5” was arranged, for the first time in 4 years, for a delighted in-person audience of more than 2,700 people from 57 countries in Amaroo, Australia – 3,300 people from 70 countries were able to watch the events online – from September 5th to September 9th. These were followed by events in Penang on October 16th as well as Kuala Lumpur on October 19th, included in a three-week extensive tour of Malaysia.
Finally, as Prem Rawat was flying home from a visit to India, he stopped for a preliminary Birthday Event for Europeans in Barcelona, Spain on November 27th, and spoke at the actual Birthday Event in Pasadena, USA, marking his 65th birthday and 57 years of spreading his message of personal peace.
