VISAS

Visitors to Australia need to apply for a visa. It is important that you apply for the visa meant for your country’s residents, and that your application is filled in correctly. Explore options at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-finder.

Residents of certain countries, for instance India and Nepal, are required to show the Australian Government some evidence of the purpose of their visit and need to present an Invitation Letter and a Registration Confirmation to support their Visa Application. Find out more at https://amaroo.org/.

NOTE. If you are flying via New Zealand, even if you are just transiting, you will need to apply for a New Zealand visa at https://nzeta.immigration.govt.nz/.

REGISTRATION TIPS

Registration is possible both on computers and on mobile devices.

Do this before you register:

  • Alert your bank that you will be making a (large) transaction in Australia.
  • If you have an American Express card or debit card, make sure it can be used instead of your other card(s).
  • Remember that Discover cards don’t work in Australia.
  • Check with your bank that there are sufficient funds on your credit card.
  • Check that the settings on your card allow you to submit payments globally.
  • Check that the limit on payments from your card is sufficient.

Do this while you are registering:

  • Use a common browser like Google Chrome, and clear your browser’s cache before you start.
  • The registration system requires a single credit card payment that covers everyone in the registration group.
  • If you are having problems paying, making several quick consecutive retries with one credit card might block the card.
  • Wait a few minutes before trying the same card again. Try a different card. Try on another device.
  • Contact your credit card issuer and find out if they are declining your transactions and why.
  • If you are not successful, contact the Amaroo Help Desk at https://amaroo.org/helpdesk/.
REFUNDS
  • If you cancel your booking prior to, or on 31 July 2025 @ 11pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), you will be refunded 100% of the cost of your booking.
  • If you cancel after 1 August 2025 and prior to or on 15 August 2025 @11pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), you will be refunded 80% of the cost of your booking.
  • If you cancel after 15 August 2025 AEST there will be no refunds.
  • Donations are non-refundable.
  • If your visa is rejected by the Australian government, your registration will be canceled at no cost. Please present a letter of rejection.
  • For additional questions and concerns, please contact the Amaroo Help Desk at https://amaroo.org/helpdesk/.
ASSISTED ACCESS

Assisted Access includes guests who use a wheelchair, electric scooter or walker and those with difficulty getting on/off a bus. Please register for Assisted Access before 22 August at https://amaroo.org/assisted-access/.

The Assisted Access Team will provide fixed seating for you and your carer in a designated area of the Amphitheatre. For safety reasons, wheelchair and scooter seats will be located at the rear of the Amphitheatre, with seats also for possible carers.

A low-floor bus to the Amphitheatre will be available for Assisted Access guests. For guests needing transport up the hill to the Amphitheatre, there will be free shuttle buses provided by general transport.

If you are hard of hearing, a channel in enhanced English will be available.

TRANSLATION & HEADPHONES

The event will be in English. Translation languages are to be confirmed.

If you are hard of hearing, a channel in enhanced English will be available.

The sometimes unreliable WIFI in Amaroo requires bringing your own FM radio that has headphones and can receive FM frequencies from 87.7 to 108 MHz. A radio with a digital display is best for tuning.
